Working with infants and children is different than caring for adults. By the time a child reaches 2 years of age, the nerve system has laid down the framework of messaging (synapses) that we will live with for the rest of our lives. Making sure that the framework is laid down right, allows that human to grow up firing on all cylinders (synapses) without having to use energy on detours and work arounds. The exam of a young one requires unique testing. We look for reflexes, to make sure they are present or absent depending on the age of the child. Our testing is comprehensive and specific to the age of the child. In our office, we work hard to gain the trust of a child, allowing them time to get to know us, and not forcing an exam or adjustment. We all heal better when not on defense. Dr. Julie is one of about 800 Doctors of Chiropractic WORLDWIDE that has earned a Certificate of Achievement from the International Council on Chiropractic Pediatrics. Along with this certification, she is also Webster certified, which gives her unique training in caring for pregnant women.

On this call, we will find out if our office is the right place for your child. If not, we will help direct you to a better spot for your unique situation.
An initial visit with an infant or child is uniquely designed for their age. To minimize the time a child has to spend in our office, we usually will have gotten a full health history during our Discovery call. For all children from birth on up, gaining their trust is paramount. That means that for some children getting a whole exam done might stretch over a few visits. That's okay. We would rather not force, but instead work within the tolerance of the child.

Our family really enjoys working with Drs. Piche and Brons and staff. Ever enthusiastic, these folks really get it. We've worked with four or five other chiropractors through the years and it's safe to say that none of the others really take care to get to know my ails and treat me accordingly. My past experience has always been much more cookie-cutter, and I've never felt like my doc was genuinely interested in getting to the root of things.
